The scene was North Western University in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. The annual Gala Dinner for Chabad on campus. Approximately 200 gathered in the auditorium for the main event 8th Day concert.
Opening with some Yiddish classics the crowd immediately responded and began to sing and clap along. By the time the band launched into "Wake Up" their was a large dance circle going in front of the stage which continued throughout.
There were many 8th Day fans in the crowd and requested songs Tracht Gut, Bubinyu, and even Chasidic Rambler (remember that one) got in the mix.
